Working with our Polyester Knife Scales

   Thank you for your support of LS Grips. These are polyester scales and work a little different than acrylic or other material that a lot of people are used to.

   The following tools can be used to work it; band saw, drill press, router, belt sander, and others. The most important thing to remember is to use sharp bits, sharp blades, and go slow.

   Finish sand to about 600 grit and polish with a slow speed buffer (1800 RPM) with Scratchless Pink rouge (white or blue will work as well).

   The front and back of this raw material looks nothing like the finished product, as the surface material dries differently during the curing process. So please reserve judgement until you have worked into it.
